Do Widzenia, Poland!

We're coming at you from the comfort of our train! We're moving on to the next leg in our Wencl adventure. Next up: eastern Czech Republic!

That's Rog sleeping...

We're a bit sad to leave the charms of Kraków. But, of course, we're pumped to experience our next destinations: the small towns of Ceska Trebova, Litomysl and Privrat.

These towns originally inspired this whole trip! You see, almost every person of Czech ancestry in Steele County, MN (where Anna grew up and Roger lives) has their Czech roots in the Litomysl area. That includes Roger and I! Roger's mother and father (Anna's grandparents) were both born as Wencls with Privrat origins.

If you're from Steele County, Litomysl might sound familiar as it's also the name of a rural Catholic Church that holds an annual Czech festival.

That's enough family history for now. Time for a nap as we sail through the Polish country side. We hope to update in Czech Republic but don't know how much access we'll have to wifi right away. We'll share when we can!

Before we go, here are some highlights of our last day in Krakow. We spent it wandering, taking a walking tour and eating some good food!

BUGLER! Entertainment at the medieval city gates.

Everyone was out enjoying the first sunny day in a long while! This is Wawel castle from the riverside.

Our meals cost us $9 each. Kraków is so cheap!
